STEDEC (AKİTEK) was established within the framework of the Competitive Sectors Programme carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and co-financed by the Republic of Türkiye and the European Union within the framework of the ‘Smart Technologies Design, Development and Prototyping Centre’, which started on 15 February 2021 and was completed on 15 February 2024 after a 36-month implementation period. Project.
STEDEC was inaugurated in February 2024 and is currently in its sustainable phase. As a non-profit institution, the Centre has two functions;
- To carry out joint R&D projects with industry and academia,
- To provide prototyping and testing services with advanced equipment infrastructure.
It is a well-known fact that the most effective tools to increase competitiveness in a sector and ensure sustainability in business development are to promote R&D, innovation and technological development. STEDEC seeks to develop the capacities of relevant stakeholders consisting of a wide range of enterprises in various industrial sectors.
Within the scope of the Smart Technologies Centre Project, the Smart Technologies Centre (STEDEC), which was implemented with the co-financing of the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye, supports companies operating in all production areas, especially in prototyping, measurement, testing and verification, and supports these companies in their R&D projects with its advanced technological devices.
Additionally, STEDEC regularly functions as a centre for R&D projects. The main methodology applied in these projects is the implementation of ideas regarding the needs of the industry within the framework of industry-university cooperation. Through this project, it is aimed to improve the university-industry cooperation in the region.
